“Can “I” Play God” is a dramatic presentation (designed with suspense) of a social issue. Taking someone’s life is punishable…then how do we justify war? Why are the laws different? The play is a humble attempt at making the audience think about what is right and what is wrong, a depiction of certain grey areas in our judiciary and essentially certain questions, we need to ask ourselves. Its a story of 2 men, who are fighting for what they believe in.Who will win?Law? These men? Or neither?

About the venue:The word theatre originated form the French word “théâtre”, as well as the Greek word “theatron”, which means “place of seeing”. It is place that allows artists to perform in front of an audience. At MISF!T, we often question whether it is the play that defines a place or a place that defines the play. We strongly believe, it is the former. The nature of this play, dictates a more intimate audience. Hence, we are neither opening it in an auditorium or a hall or a restaurant. We plan to open the show in the same studio space in Koramangala, where our workshops happen. Incidentally, the very term “Studio” actually refers to a place where an art form is taught, studied and practiced (Source:http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/studio). With this play, we are also bringing back the concept of “Audience on the Mat”(http://misfit.co.in/?cat=28#AudienceOnMat). What this means is, there are no chairs. Audience will be seated on the mats that are provided.
