Now that we have come to the end of L1 workshop, finished our grading as well, I can talk about my entire experince, through this journey. The day I started Feb 14th 2010, since then I have learnt a lot of things. I liked acting but, usually did acting when not a single soul was around.
I always thought why do people forget their lines, why do people stop in between the plays. If you know what role are you playing and what situation you are in, then what is the problem, you have to live that situation, that’s all. But now I know why the lines are forgotten, God! there are so many other things that i need to focus on. Atleast in case of L1, that even if I am living that situation, I end up focusing on the blockings, the prop etc.
Ratan, you are one of the energetic, fun loving teacher I have known. You made the entire course so much fun and interesting, I never felt that I was actually doing a theatre course. Your method of teaching is so good and easy that anyone can learn theatre. The learning process was more of play school for kids and this way the kids learn a lot.
This was definitely not just about theatre and acting but also a way to learn to express through theatre. It definitely has increased my self-confidence in general and confidence in acting. I have seen amazing changes happening in the personalities of the students from this L1. This workshop also gave me some good friends. Lot of experiences, incidents, emotions to treasure forever from this workshop.
Looking forward to join L2 very soon.
Thank you very much Ratan for being such a wonderful teacher.
