Dear Sir,
The class had all the elements that i expected it to have. It taught the basics about theatre in theory as well as practicality very beautifully. The start was challenging in terms of how we were asked to do alot of things which involved us getting out of our comfort zone but at the same time it was good in the sense had I not done that in the beginning I wouldnt have done that later as well.I really like how the classes were structured. There were times the class was high on energy and there were times that we had theory which was essential otherwise our learning would have got affected.Every class i missed, I actually missed being in the class.
The exercise that i thought was most challenging and most effective was when we were send outside to find out a character, observe and enact. I learnt alot that day. That day i felt i have assimilated all that you have taught and reproduced it when I gave the performance. That was the day i also realised that we have to push our limits and we can do better than we think we can.
But i felt that actor’s magic part of the class was not completed and the concept didnt sync in as much as it should have and how important that is.At the same time I think you have given us a starting point to think from.
Thank you sir for the wonderful learning experience and alot more
– Regards
