Venue(at present): Outlaw Dance Studio, 4th Floor, #11 Shambhavi Complex, 60ft road, 6th block, Koramangala, Bangalore

Duration of the course: 48 hours(plus 12 hours) = 60 hours(see details below)Frequency

1. First 4 weeks – Every Saturday and Sunday(25th Jan, 26th Jan, 1st Feb, 2nd Feb, 8th Feb,9th Feb, 15th Feb,16th Feb) between 11:00 am to 6:00 pm with an hour’s lunch break. This constitutes for the first 48 hours of the course duration.
2. After the training is over (48 hours), there will be additional hours of intensive training(12 hours) on 22nd Feb and 23rd Feb and which will culminate in a grading on 2nd March(with a Tech rehearsal on 1st March).
3. The grading will be a public performance(invited or ticketed).

Details of the course

Level 1 is the foundation course which aims to bring out the fun of acting, make participants to shed their inhibitions, teach them stagecraft, pantomime, and character building. It is also for people without any background in acting. The objective is to make them as natural as possible.

The course is unique because it focuses on bringing out the originality, the creativity, and the attention to detail in the actor, by letting the actor create their very own concepts and execute these, in the form of numerous short plays, during the course of the training.

The course includes:

1. Breaking inhibitions: getting people comfortable to act, in front of an audience.
2. Characterization.
3. Voice: Understanding the components, and projection of voice.
4. Observation.
5. Listening skills.
6. Pantomime.
7. Improvisation.
8. Scene creation and Character creation.
9. Script creation.
10. Fine tuning of theatre craft.

This course is also designed in such a way, that it will help the participant, if he or she decides to, take acting as a profession.

The course gets constantly upgraded because the ideologies are constantly evolving.

Please note punctuality and attendance are very essential.

The in-house performances have been created as a platform to showcase the MISF!T students. This will depend on the discipline and dedication of the students.
