Good Morning! Where were you last night?
Out sir, that is why sending this so late. 🙂
My only regret would be ‘why did I not do this earlier in life?’. Nevertheless I did it. I survived the ‘hell’. I enjoyed this hell so much that I feel addicted to it now. I completely forgot what I have been all these years, breaking all the inhibitions, overcoming fears, pushing yourself to unexplored territories..in other words it was like a journey to transformation. I could see my strengths and weaknesses through the activities in the classes.
I would like to share the most amazing experience I had in one of the trust building activities. Yes, you heard me, you are not only taught acting and script writing at Misf!t, you learn how to trust people, how to let go of yourself, how to listen, how to be patient, how to work with the most diverse people without language barriers, you start noticing the un-noticed, you learn how to take care of everyone around you..how to be yourself..you learn so much more!
Going back to my experience, in this activity we were paired up with someone you have some amount of trust. We had to blind fold our partner and walk around with them guiding them all the way, one step at a time. My partner was one of the most talented student of our Batch ‘Mohini’. We decided to blindfold me first and she took me down 4 floors (no kidding), to the main street in the busy Koramangla. I was also barefoot! And then…the most extraordinary thing happened to me, anything I touched I could feel colors. I was not even trying to imagine..nor was it like a typical hallucination.. I could not see but just feel the colors..strong and vivid. I could feel the light and the colors were so different from reality. I knew i was holding a cup in my had but I could feel the color of the cup. It was amazing. Non of my other batch-mates experienced this, so I am guessing I am a little extra special 🙂
Baba, as we call our teacher.. he does not only teach you for the sake of business or as a part of his job, he is actually investing his experiences in you, both good and bad. He grooms you to be successful in all aspects of life. Misf!t is more like a family. It is a big family staying away from the hustle bustle of the city life and the anti-social digital life, with our phones untouched for hours. He will make sure you are above and beyond your comfort zone, sharing your nasty stories during bonding sessions. Oh! the bonding sessions..super fun.
Thank you Baba for this. Thank you for being what you are and doing what you do. You have taken care of each one of us like a true guru, a friend, a parent. You have helped us become better people. I feel luck to be a part of the Misfit family.
Thank you.
