About Open Stage

Open Stage is a MISF!T alumni initiative to harness their creativity and passion for theatre through various activity sessions aimed at refining their craft. Each Open Stage has a combination of these creative classes taken by an expert or alumni member along with presenting a self-written and directed professional play by the end of the season.

Membership

Any alumni can become a member of the ongoing Open Stage season by registering themselves with a nominal enrolment fee.

The member is then entitled to participate in all the activities for that season and be a part of the professional play.

Please attend the first meeting of Open Stage on Sunday 30th June for membership registration. The enrolment fee will be collected on the same day.

An Open Stage season typically lasts for 2-3 months. During this period, the members can either conduct or participate in creative classes during the meetings. The members can also come up with their own original stories and be a part of scripting, directing, acting as well as the backstage work involved in the play.

NOTE: The members who wish to put up a professional play need to come with their own original stories or ideas. 📝 There will be a discussion in the first week meeting for the same. Auditions will be held depending on the need for actors in the finalised scripts.

Rules of Open Stage

The meetings will be held every Saturday and Sunday at 4.00 pm onwards until the end of the season.
