This was my third attempt at joining the L1 course and thanks to my stars, I finally joined and have completed my L1 program. I was worried if I would ever get a chance to be here as a few situations on my personal front didn’t permit me to join the classes till Oct’18. For starters, I am a 31-year-old aspiring actor. My L1 grading performance was my first performance ever (it was a paid event 😀 😀 😀) and thanks to Misf!t and Ratan Sir to have made this possible. Can still feel the mad crazy rush..Best feeling EVER!!

My motive to join the L1 at Misf!t was simple – to understand if I can fall in love with the craft ‘someday’. Today I can confidently state that I have achieved my goal with the L1 course. I CAN see myself love this art form. Thank you – Ratan Sir, for being my first and probably the most important teacher I will ever have. Through you I have learnt that someone can love this art form so fiercely. I hope someday I can completely surrender to this art. I hope someday I can make you proud of being my teacher.

Regarding the course, I feel it is perfectly balanced for an aspiring actor or a beginner. The curriculum covers all the basics of acting and performing – applicable to both theatre and before camera. Until Misf!t, I was just a dreamer. Now I am a believer. Everything you learn in the 6 weeks will take you to believing in yourself. My key takeaways include understanding the generic BUT understanding them right – your commitment must be absolute, your dedication and focus should be unwavering, you should be able to put in immense hard work to get IT right and intelligence & wisdom is very important. If you can enjoy doing all of this, with time one can be a good actor.

Thank you to my batch mates who have made this experience a good one for me. I have made some good friends and have also met some interesting personalities. To all my seniors who have been very supportive and have helped me achieve my first milestone – performing on stage for the very first time, Thank You!

I am still finding my path and I hope the L2 program will give me more learning and experiences. I look forward to sharing them someday.
