I would like to share my experience of my first day at MISF!T. Though I joined theatre for fun somewhere I felt “Can I actually do theatre?” I was skeptical and also very worried about my performance being judged, but yes I wanted to give it a try.
Everything was so perfect that day except for Ratan’s feet, but he still kept the charm going on the entire day. Not once could I make out that he had an accident just the previous day. It was totally a different and wonderful experience, not the usual way of teaching, it was learning mixed with fun.
Along with Ratan, the ambiance of the studio was so lively with colors like, mainly red, which kept the energy going. The place where the studio is situated is wonderful too, surrounded by natural trees and a very quit place, outside and away from the city noise, traffic and people too.
The entire set up helped me to relax and take up the class with more open mind. It was so surprising we were 22 of us and we knew each other so well by the lunch time. It did not feel like we were strangers. It was amazing to see the bonding between the 22 students in just one day.
Thanks to Ratan and the whole set up there, now doing theatre to me is more of fun than a worry.
