Here’s my feedback.
At MISFIT, the first thing that I learned was that like every other art form or skill, acting too can be learned methodically and anyone can become a good actor with a lot of regular practice. The Level 1 acting course is very well structured and planned, and intensive too. The way the lessons taught in each class connect with each other, as the weeks progress, to form the whole picture is as exciting as watching the sub-plots of a thriller merge into the main plot leading to a breathtaking climax. And just as any other course, the excellence of the acting course at MISFIT can be attributed mainly to the teacher, Ratan Thakore, fondly known as Baba, and his co-instructors. Baba encourages questions, discussions, demos each lesson and makes sure that his students understand how to implement them. The fact that 33 strangers, many with no previous experience of being on stage, bond and get confident enough in 6 weekends to put up a ticketed show for 70-odd people ( also uploaded on the MISFIT YouTube channel ) is testimony to the quality of the level 1 acting course at MISFIT.
