Hi BABA
HI Guys, my name is Shashwat Shubham from L1 Batch 35. It started with a call to fix an appointment for audition. Next day I went for interview and climbing four floors (82 stairs, I counted) to audition, I had already lost my energy and was wondering what will I be made to do. But five – ten minutes of conversation with Ratan Sir aka BABA (you’ll know why BABA when you join MISF!T), I knew I wanted to be part of the group. I don’t know what he saw or what answers I gave but I was selected for L1 BATCH 35 Workshop. It is still a mystery but I was Happy. Our workshop started on 6th Aug, and by the time it came to an end, you won’t realize six weeks has passed by in flash of time. I was fortunate to be part of this workshop, you will realize acting is not easy and not always about glamour and fame, it is always about how much work, effort, time and technicality you can put in acting. Six weekends will take your breath out of you. Course is really well designed, each weekend you will learn something new, one will learn to overcome inhibitions, to laugh on self, enjoy every moment as it comes. No one will stop you to do foolish things, in fact encourage you to create as weird characters one can come up with. Though I could not make a new character every time, but it has developed me to observe people, their behavior, one’s uniqueness and mannerism, it will definitely help in creating new characters ahead in future. One will learn many new things such as Pantomime – Mime; having trust on your co-actors; improving your listening and observation skills; action – reaction; and many more, list will go on. Course consists of many exercises, but look forward for the BLINDFOLD exercise. I guarantee, you’ll enjoy this exercise the most. Apart from this, you will get to see performance from many of alumni, chance to interact with them, learn things from their experience and so on. And then there is this undefined chemistry between BABA and Venky SIR (Hello VENKY SIR), you’ll simply applaud their performances when on stage and dye laughing at their crazy adult jokes and acts. And there is Vishal Sir who brings charisma of spontaneous acting on stage. If someone is really interested in acting in film industry, then direct all your queries to him. And when you think it is done for the day, time to go home and fall on your beds, BABA says let go to BONDING Session at Rendezvous, time to chill down and fill your tankers. 😛. Believe me, you’ll simply have unimaginable fun in these sessions. To sum up in one sentence I would say that these six weeks were best days I spent in Bangalore so far being new in the city. Shashwat Shubham
