Well, it is that time now…feedback! Never in my life did I think that I will be involved in any activity so much; which was mainly because of all the inhibitions that I had. And now that I think back, never did I think, at the beginning of the course, that I would dread the course coming to an end..! My weekends are getting over…. literally!
Once I decided to join MISF!T, I was not able to do so for 2 years as something happened during that time… ‘LIFE’. But it has been worth that wait. And to be honest, it would have been even more worthwhile had I been able to join much earlier.
I joined the course to polish my acting techniques. But it turned out to be a personality development course as well. I have started to interact better with people around me. Hopefully this continues.
Now, when it comes to teaching the acting techniques…wow! You are made to sit on the edge of the seats (or rather, on mats, in MISF!T;-) ), and grasp every little detail so that everything stays with you for a long time. And it is an experience! No amount of explanation will make you realize that MISF!T is the right place for you to hone your acting skills, and break your inhibitions.
Personally, the best thing for me was the Pantomime class… an art form where one has to emote only through body and expressions, with no speech. It certainly taught me how to be more expressive. And all I need to do now is combine Pantomime and speech to get the blend of acting I am looking for!
And all this because of… Baba (Ratan Thakore Grant) … a wonderful human being! Thanks Baba, for all the things that you taught us in L1.
All that is left now is… “L2”…!
