I certainly cannot find words to describe the experience in Misfit, but I would try my best to put it into words. You know that feeling you get when you actually find something you are looking for. Yes, that`s exactly what I felt when I had my first class in Misfit.
The course duration was 6 weeks and it got over so fast. I was looking for a place where I can learn all the techniques which one uses in acting. I wanted to understand how this craft works and all the aspects of theatre and acting. IF you are also looking for the same, do not give it a second thought.
I could see myself improving with each class and implementing all the techniques. I could see inhibitions going away and everyone’s enjoying when they are there. It’s so much fun and at the same time you learn so much you can’t even believe you would have learnt.
As Pablo Picasso said once and I quote, “Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life”. I always waited for the weekend to start and the energy drives you through the entire weekday. It is not a class where one sits, slogs all day and go away. It’s that messy ground where one plays all games and goes home dirty feeling like champion.
This feedback would be incomplete without me mentioning one lovely individual Mr Ratan Thakore (AKA Baba). I think I would not have asked for a better teacher than him. He inspires the hope and ignites the imagination in us and his way of explaining techniques is just to the point.
I cannot thank enough for this amazing experience and the knowledge that Misfit has embarked on me. I hope I make you guys proud and never let go of my creative side.
Thank you so much Baba and all the senior members of MISFIT.
Regards,
Sonal Sharma
