From the word ‘GO’ till the moment Ratan said your L2 is completed…Phew!!! the journey was better than a roller coaster ride !!!

After my L1 grading I thought I had understood some bits of acting… ‘Jokes’(dialogue from “strangers”) … Day 1 of Level 2 pulled me out of the realm of imagination.

The Level 2 training was unquestionably a diverse experience from the L1 class; it made Acting look like a highly specialized science with its scientific methodologies and procedures. It gave me more approaches and methods to understand and enhance my acting skills and the unseen side of guiding people for a better stage performance.“Recall Memory, Substitute Memory and Sensory Memory”… fear, anger, sadness, joy, love… Crying, laughing, screaming, shouting… getting to know the character with the 58 questions… it was a whole new way to look at ourselves and stride towards becoming the “AWESOME ACTOR’ (Hope we do justice to the teachings).

The exercises for manipulating our physical stance, body balance, voice control and breathing were very useful. One, two, three, Four…. tap…tap… tap…tap; the swaying dance movements… the rhythm, the beats, the music, the sweat …Ohhh!!! What fun, we were high on adrenalin during our dance session!!!

Performances coming from “Honest place”, “In the Moment” acting, “Comedy” Vs “Drama” to create a surreal yet believable experience for the audience.
The feedbacks for our acts speckled from positives like “amazing” on one day …to constructive ones like “you can guys… you have the potential” on another day … to just blowing Ratan’s patience and forcing him shout at us “this is not at par with Level 1 performance standards… have you forgotten your basics”

How can I forget the metaphysical dialogues… technical approaches… behavioral deliberations… which made the lunch hours discussions quite interesting and Spicy (literally). Not only did I learn to be tenacious to overcome difficult situations but also opened myself to an emotional yet tough practical world.

he journey refined my imaginations, made me blatant, skilled me to be inventive. It also helped me become more empathetic; towards situations, towards people, towards life all at the same time.
Whatever said and done, I spent my time with in the last 6 weeks; with an amazing bunch of talented people… needless to say… the resilience shown by everyone did surprise everyone… the audience feedback affirmed it … Indeed a wonderful learning journey … the mentors who took time out for us … let us their homes for us to do our rehearsal… “Thanks” is a small word for the magnanimous support.
Thanks MISF!T and especially Ratan, our amazing, talented and charming trainer for everything we learnt at the workshop and performances.
